The successor to the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, the Blackhawk serves primarily as a tactical transport helicopter. The US Navy, US Air Force, and US Coast Guard all make use of the Black Hawk. It has supported troops in Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Somalia, the Balkans, and Afghanistan, including through medical evacuation.
